The Natural Resources Class within Oak Harbor’s Agriculture Education program spent a day at Riker Farm Seeds Northern Ohio Training Site in Bowling Green on Thursday, Sept. 12. A total of 19 students attended the event. Students participated in hands-on topics that dealt with precision agriculture, field scripts, mapping, yield estimates, insect and weed identification, field diseases of corn and soybeans, grain marketing and agricultural careers. A total of nine schools attended the event within Northwest Ohio. The feedback from the Oak Harbor Natural Resources students was overwhelmingly positive.
