Danbury School students are geared up for Homecoming this weekend. The kick-off to Homecoming week on Sunday featured a Stonecrusher football game, chicken dinner, music, face-painting and bonfire. Monday was pajama day at the High school and camo day at the elementary school.
Thursday, Sept. 19, features car smashing at the Rock for $1 per swing, sponsored by the Danbury Key Club.
Friday, Sept. 20, the Danbury Cheerleaders will hold a tailgate party in the bus annex from 5-6:30 p.m., featuring shredded chicken, pulled pork, perogis, chips and dessert. The cost is $5 per person.
At 6:30 p.m. the Homecoming Court will be introduced in pre-game ceremonies, followed by the 7 p.m. kickoff of the Danbury-Cardinal Stritch football game. The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime.
Saturday, Sept. 21, the High School Homecoming Dance is in the multi-purpose room from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and are available at lunch or at the door or from Mrs. Merckens in the high school office. Non-Danbury guest permission forms are available in the high school office.
